Within the Sales Associate – Furniture position, you start your day by going through the transport requests that have come in. Then you make sure that their operational execution runs smoothly. Within your position you will mainly be in contact with furniture suppliers, antique dealers and other such companies. These are mostly returning partners and customers with whom you build and maintain a relationship.
Meanwhile, you are in contact with the Planning Department to discuss the execution of your sold orders. Is it a truck full of furniture from Great Britain to Germany? A sea container to be booked from the port of Rotterdam to New York? Or an air freight shipment to China? Together with the other departments you make a plan for this so that the move is carried out.
You will be in contact with your partners via email and phone and actively seek new partnerships. During lunch you can go for a walk or have lunch in the office with the rest of the team. At the end of the day you check if your orders have been entered into the system and return home full of energy.
